KPMG Ukraine is seeking a Head of Tax Compliance, Accounting Outsourcing and Payroll Services to lead our team in delivering impactful results for our clients. This role involves leading projects, developing team members, and managing client relationships.

You are going to deal with:
• Setting strategic priorities and drive the growth of the Accounting Outsourcing & Tax Compliance practice in Ukraine.
• Providing strategic leadership to engagement teams, partnering with firm leadership to shape service offerings and support business growth.
• Overseeing the design and implementation of clients’ accounting operating models, ensuring efficient statutory and management accounting aligned with best practices.
• Leading, coaching, and developing accounting and tax compliance teams, fostering high performance and continuous professional development.
• Building and maintain long‑term client relationships, contributing to business development and positioning the firm as a trusted advisor.
• Driving innovation by identifying new solutions and growth opportunities that strengthen client value and the firm’s market position.
• Managing accounting staff and oversee accurate, timely execution of daily operations, including reconciliations, reporting, and compliance.
• Ensuring timely month‑end and year‑end closings, preparation of financial statements, audits, and management reports.
• Restoring and optimizing accounting and tax records in line with Ukrainian legislation and IFRS; manage clients’ statutory reporting and communication with tax authorities.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and respond to senior management inquiries to support decision‑making.
What you'll contribute:
· Academic degree in Accounting or Finance required; an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered.
· Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience.
· At least three (3) years of supervisory or team‑lead experience.
· Proficiency with computerized financial systems, Microsoft Excel, and related applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Strong experience working with accounting ERPs, such as 1C, SAP, BAS, Navision, Dynamics, or similar platforms.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2 level or higher), along with strong presentation, collaboration, and negotiation capabilities.
· Professional certifications such as ACCA and/or CPA are preferred.
· Prior experience in a Big Four company is considered an advantage.
· Demonstrated ability to build effective professional relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
· Strong strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and advanced problem‑solving skills.
