Andersen, an international IT сompany, invites a Data Engineer (on-site in the UK) to work on a large-scale project in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain.
The customer is the leading international transport provider. The company operates bus, coach, and rail services across various regions including the UK, continental Europe, North Africa, and North and South America. In 2023, it reported revenue of £3.15 billion, reflecting its strong global presence.
The project is a mobile application that allows users to plan bus trips, book and manage tickets, track routes in real-time, and get information about stops, promotions, and schedule changes.
Technology stack: AWS, Terraform/CloudFormation, Apache Airflow, Spark, Pandas, SQL, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
Responsibilities
Designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for data migration and transformation. Integrating with the API platform and ensuring data availability for digital channels. Implementing data observability: logging, monitoring, alerting. Contributing to CI/CD pipelines for data workflows. Supporting analytics and AI/ML initiatives (e.g., Revenue Management System). Collaborating with architects, API teams, and other engineering roles.Requirements
Commercial experience as a Data Engineer for 3+ years. Hands-on experience with AWS: S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, RDS, CloudWatch, etc. Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code. Proficiency with Apache Airflow, Spark, Pandas, SQL. Experience with streaming technologies: Kafka, Kinesis (a plus). Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins. Knowledge of monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack. Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.Reasons to join us
