Operational Data Specialist
Operational Data Stewards are delegated and empowered by Data Stewards for the execution of business activities on their behalf. They are skilled and trained on business and data processes related to the data entities they are designated to. Operational Data Stewards examine data and care for its accuracy and consistency: maintain product master data and monitoring data quality.This key role in Data Governance works together with Data Stewards to ensure the integrity of our data so that it remains clean for consumption and effective decision-making.
As the Operational Data Specialist, under the area of Global Data Services you will:
Monitor critical data assets to ensure compliance with data governance policies on ownership, quality, and classification.Define and implement data quality rules in alignment with Data Stewards’ guidelines.
Track and remediate data quality issues proactively within agreed SLAs.
Manage CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) processes for defined master data entities.
Escalate issues to Data Owners and Data Managers as needed.
Coordinate with Data Stewards to ensure timely resolution of data-related issues.
Identify and propose process improvement initiatives; actively participate in improvement projects
REQUIREMENTS
Experienced with ERP systems, including SAP S4 and SAP MDG.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation) and strong PowerPoint proficiency.
Skilled in SQL and database querying.
Capable of assessing and resolving data issues, identifying root causes of integration or processing errors.
Good understanding of product lifecycle, categories, and attributes (UOM, descriptions, classifications).
Able to follow and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Strong communication skills with high attention to detail.
Able to work effectively under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
Quick learner with the ability to absorb knowledge rapidly.
Collaborative team player with project coordination experience.
