Our client is a leading managed WordPress hosting platform, empowering businesses with the performance, security, and reliability they need to grow online. Their platform automates the complexities of WordPress site management, helping teams focus on content and user engagement instead of infrastructure.

The goal of this project is to build and optimize data preparation pipelines to support advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Our team will consist of five experienced Big Data Engineers working collaboratively to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions.

IF YOU ARE

Experienced in Data Engineering with 3+ years of hands-on practiceSkilled in Python or another scripting languageProficient in SQL for delivering and optimizing data assetsStrong in SQL debugging and query performance tuningFamiliar with DBT, automation approaches for testing and tooling to ensure reliable deliverySuccessful in working with one or more cloud platforms, like GCP (preferred), AWS, or AzureKnowledgeable in data warehouse technologies like BigQuery (preferred), Redshift, or SnowflakeConfident in data modeling and organizing/normalizing data using dbtVersed in Git for version control and collaborative developmentA practitioner of Agile methodologies and delivering value iterativelyCapable of translating business requirements into effective data modelsFluent in spoken English at an upper-intermediate level for effective communication in a multicultural environmentAccustomed to big data frameworks such as Spark or Databricks (will be a plus)

Work directly with the client and their engineering team to deliver high-value data solutionsDevelop and maintain cloud-based data replication pipelines using Python, Go, or tools like FivetranModel, organize, and normalize data using dbtAutomate test cases to ensure data quality and resilience against changesContribute to CI/CD practices for the automated delivery of reliable codeMonitor, troubleshoot, and resolve alerts from data pipelinesDocument systems, data, and architecture, including ERDsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data warehousing and analytics solutionsPromote best practices and maintain high-quality, maintainable data assetsReview code contributions and guide adoption of standards for healthy, efficient data modelsIdentify and implement process improvements to advance the Data and Analytics Engineering practice
