We are looking for a talented finance professional to join the local CFO & Controller’s team in JSC Citibank Ukraine. The team is responsible for the oversight of finances for this legal entity, and the generation, tracking and submission of financial & regulatory reports. This role is ideal for an individual with a few years of experience in a relevant field, and will be mentored by more senior colleagues.
In this position you will use and expand your experience and professional skills for the following responsibilities:
Coordination and oversight over Legal Entity Management (LEM) and US GAAP processes in accordance with corporate requirements and regulations on accounting adopted by Ukrainian legislative bodiesOversight over Balance Sheet Substantiation process in the department and franchiseEnd User Computing champion in the departmentResponsibility for Continuity of Business and Records Management processes in the departmentImplementation of Finance initiatives relating to Legal Entity Managements and US GAAPImplementation of the necessary controls and taking all necessary measures to ensure the integrity and reliability of the data used for reportingMaintenance of internal chart of accounts (GL), General Ledger accounts and MIS details opening and maintenanceParticipation in the development and implementation of new business products in the scope of the Finance department’s responsibilities, ensuring compliance with local regulatory reporting and US GAAPActive participation in the introduction of policies and procedures in relation to accounting and reporting, cooperation with the Operations & Technology departmentIdentify and resolve emerging problems using subject-matter knowledge in finance, and proactively escalate issues as neededAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.What we consider a potentially good mix of qualifications and skills:
At least 3 years of experience related to Finance, Accounting, AuditPreferred qualification in Finance/Economics/Accounting, strong knowledge of accounting standards in theory and in practice is an important skill for this roleExperience with financial & regulatory reporting processes is a plusFluency in English - verbal and written. Clear and concise communication skills in English is requiredGood knowledge of banking products, understanding of key concepts in finance, financial reporting, IFRS, and regulatory policy are considered useful assets for this positionStrong Excel skills and hands-on experience with complex spreadsheets is a mustExcellent analytical skills, strong judgment and decision-making abilities (problem solving)Proactive attitude, ability to learn quickly and work successfully both independently and within a teamStrong planning and time management skillsWe are a development-focused organization.
