Prevail is seeking a motivated and autonomous Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex infrastructure projects in international environments. This role demands a high-calibre operator capable of delivering works from concept to completion while navigating nuanced stakeholder landscapes and delivering under pressure. This role offers substantial autonomy and a chance to shape the evolution of a rapidly expanding Programme Management Office (PMO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned infrastructure projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes.
- Develop and maintain project requirements, design reviews, schedules, risk registers, and delivery strategies.
- Direct stakeholder engagement with clients, end users, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain alignment and momentum.
- Exercise authority over sequencing, scheduling, work assurance, and site-level change management.
- Monitor and approve preliminary cost plans and overhead expenditures.
- Supervise and mentor site delivery personnel and subcontractor teams to build strong, accountable delivery cultures.
- Contribute to weekly client reporting and coordination meetings, delivering clear, data-backed updates.
- Support business development through involvement in tender responses, proposal development, and capability uplift of the PMO.
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience managing projects in complex, international or expeditionary environments.
- Demonstrable history of taking projects through full life cycles, ideally in defence, stabilisation, or infrastructure contexts.
- Project Management qualifications (APM, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent).
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team and organisational development.
- Experience managing subcontractors and driving performance through collaboration and assertiveness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work overseas locations.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Membership of the Engineering Council, APM, RICS, or similar
- Experience working with or within military project environments.
