PATH is currently recruiting
a Senior Program Officer, Management of TB, DR-TB and TB Infection to support implementation of the Support TB Control Efforts in Ukraine (STBCEU) project funded by the U.S. Government. Employment is subject to availability of funds.The Senior Program Officer will undertake their duties in close collaboration with the STBCEU Program Officer, Chief of Party, and PATH Ukraine team. The position will work closely with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Public Health Center, regional health authorities, and national and international partners. The role focuses on strengthening prevention, clinical management, and continuity of care for TB, drug-resistant TB, TB/HIV, and TB infection, in line with national and international guidance.
Responsibilities
Provide technical and programmatic support for implementation of project activities related to TB, DR-TB, TB/HIV, and TB infection.Monitor updates to WHO and national guidelines and support their application within project activities.Contribute to development, review, and adaptation of clinical, regulatory, and training materials related to TB and DR-TB management.Support planning and implementation of training and capacity-building activities for healthcare workers.Provide clinical mentorship and technical advice, including support on complex TB and DR-TB cases as needed.Participate in supportive supervision and monitoring visits to healthcare facilities in project-supported regions.Support coordination with national and regional stakeholders to strengthen TB service delivery.Contribute to analysis and use of clinical and programmatic data for planning, monitoring, and decision-making.Prepare reports, summaries, and technical inputs as required by the Project and donor.Support identification of emerging needs, gaps, and opportunities to strengthen TB and DR-TB response.Desired Qualifications
Medical degree is mandatory.More than 5 years of professional experience in tuberculosis prevention and clinical management.Strong knowledge of TB, DR-TB, TB/HIV, and TB infection management, including national and international standards of care.Experience working with public health institutions, including the Ministry of Health, Public Health Center, and regional health authorities.Experience supporting training, mentoring, or supervision of healthcare workers.Proven ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and partners.Fluency in Ukrainian, both verbal and written.Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
