Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Laravel 8+
Build and evolve RESTful APIs and microservice-oriented components
Work with large-scale, high-traffic applications and complex business logic
Optimize database performance using MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
Implement background processing using queues, Redis, and job workers
Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code following best practices
Create and maintain automated tests (PHPUnit, Feature tests)
Integrate third-party APIs and external services
Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and DevOps teams
(For Lead role) Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and architectural guidance
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with Laravel 8+
Proven experience working on large-scale or high-load applications
Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture
Confident knowledge of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
Practical experience with Redis, queues, and background jobs
Strong grasp of clean code principles and backend design patterns
Experience with automated testing (PHPUnit, Feature tests)
Hands-on experience with API integrations
Openness to AI-assisted development tools and modern workflows
Ability to work independently and take ownership of backend components
Nice to Have
Experience leading or mentoring other developers
Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with system performance optimization and scalability
Background in SaaS or enterprise platforms
