Strategic Insights Manager Angola & DRC
What this position is about – Purpose
Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Strategic Insights Manager is accountable for enabling and driving data-based strategic decision-making in the organization. The incumbent works with global, regional, and local functions to develop and implement the necessary tools for market modeling and forecasting, as well as reporting standards that deliver the best possible data and insights required for commercial strategy formulation across pricing, portfolio, trade channels, distribution, etc. The SI Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate and drive the development of the Annual & Strategic Planning process.
What Will You Do – Responsibilities
Work in close collaboration with global, regional & local functions to develop, roll out, and continuously evolve tools and best practices for market modeling and forecasting in the Angola & DRC cluster, driving the improvement of data quality, accuracy, and availability for strategic decision making across pricing, portfolio, trade channels, distribution, etc.Drive continuous assessment of JTI's performance across all metrics. Develop reporting tools in line with global & regional standards and requirements, and ensure the timely delivery of data and reports in accordance with the submission calendar. Based on insights from continuous analysis and a strong understanding of the cluster's business, proactively share recommendations for corrective measures or new opportunities aligned with market developments and consumer trends.Monitor and analyze competitor intelligence, macroeconomic developments, and regulatory trends in the market, region, and globally, and translate these inputs into tangible impact assessments via market modeling, enabling business agility and preparedness through the development of scenario-specific contingencies.Work closely with the Marketing Director and cross-functional teams to coordinate and drive the development of the Annual & Strategic Planning process for the Angola & DRC cluster.Who we are looking for – Requirements:
University degree in Business Administration / Economics or related.8+ years of working experience in Strategic Insighting, market modeling, forecasting, and data analytics.Fluent in English. Portuguese & French are a plus.Strong technical and analytical skills.Proven track record in market modeling, forecasting, and data analytics.Advanced technical proficiency in data analysis in MS Excel & Power BI, as well as reporting in MS PowerPoint.Strong communication & inter-personal skills with the ability to build a strong network across the organizationAre you ready to join us?
