The MHPSS Specialist will be supporting implementation of Alight’s MHPSS program under direct supervision of Program Implementation Manager by ensuring services are meeting Global Standards of Practice (SoPs) with a technical support from Global Protection Manager. This role is central to planning delivery of quality direct services to the organization’s customers and providing support and guidance to the National Partners in ensuring the comprehensive delivery of psychosocial services.Comprehensive Program Framework: Working with Implementation manager in planning direct activities in line with projects timeline and deliverables by organizing and supervising work of a short-term field team, with direct involvement in “on the ground” operations if necessary. Strategic Networking: Support organization’s communication with relevant regional stakeholders, like Clusters and Technical Working groups. Be able to represent Alight’s precents in East Area coordination meeting and contributing valuable overview of ongoing activities. Coordination with Organizations and Donors: Be able to support and monitor partners activities and reports and conduct monitoring visits to partners field team observing and ensuring quality provision of MHPSS services. Contribute Technical overview of Alight’s activities to support reporting processes done by Implementation Manager. Technical Standards Development: Be able to co-create with Global Team MHPSS technical standards by ensuring that the program is built on the latest best practices and with consideration of the Ukrainian context.Technical Monitoring and Evaluation: Contribute the MHPSS program’s monitoring and evaluation framework planning, incorporating technical metrics to assess effectiveness and ensure fidelity to program standards. Carry out all tasks respecting key protection principles including but not limited to: PSEA, do no harm, non-discrimination, confidentiality, accountability and need-to-know principles. Review the work of the partners MHPSS workers to ensure that the MHPSS needs of the community are addressed through intervention. Monitor timescales for response.Implementation Planning: Ensure weekly activity plans are created and clearly displayed in MHPSS activity locations.Write and submit weekly/monthly reports to the Implementation Manager and manage all requests for information from the Funding and Strategy Development Lead.Strategic Planning Support: Ensure that formulated strategies, goals, and objectives that align with Alight’s mission and respond effectively to the communities’ needs.Any other tasks assigned by the Implementation Manager.Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field; additional training or certification in trauma-informed care or MHPSS in humanitarian settings is highly desirable.At least 3 years of experience in program delivery and Monitoring and Evaluation MHPSS programs, preferably in humanitarian or conflict-affected contexts.Demonstrated experience in program delivery and Monitoring and Evaluation.Experience in psychosocial programming with veterans and their family members, family resilience, and prevention of secondary trauma.Highly desirable trainer’s certificate in PFA. Training of trainer’s certificate in SH+, PM+ will be an advantage.Experience in direct art therapy delivery to the elderly population will be an advantage.Strong understanding of the psychosocial implications of displacement, war, constant exposure to life risks, and the specific needs of different populations in Ukraine.Experience in capacity building, training, and supervision of MHPSS staff.Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partners.Excellent communication skills, fluency in Ukrainian, strong knowledge of English will be an advantage (!), with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to work effectively in diverse international settings.Ability to travel within the program areas as required.What We Offer:
