We’re looking for a Nurse Specialist to join our Medical Concierge team based in Marylebone, London.
Our Medical Concierge Centre provides a single point of contact, where almost allhealthcare needs can be addressed & navigated no matter how complex (including ICU to ICU transfers) from all over the world. The service was commissioned in 2020 and since then has supported patients from over 90 countries and facilitated thousands of admissions into HCA Healthcare UK Facilities, including International and NHS transfers and GP referrals. The team operate a 24/7, 365 days a year clinically nurse-led service with access to all HCA UK sites.
The Nurse Specialist roleis a clinical, non-patient facing role with an on-call component to cover the 24/7 Medical Concierge service.It’san extremely interesting & rewarding career as it provides an opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and dynamic team, based in London.
As a Nurse Specialist you’ll deliver and oversee a clinical case load of patients within the Medical Concierge Centre. You’ll be required to assess, plan, coordinate, and facilitate various patient referral pathways into HCA Healthcare UK whilst acting as the patient’s advocate.

What you’ll do:
To provide exemplary quality nursing advice and be responsible for coordinating referrals pathways into HCA Healthcare UK including the facilitation of the following referral pathways; International Adult and Paediatrics, NHS and private transfers, GP referrals and specialist consultations.
To perform a review and assessment of medical notes to identify and select the most appropriate Consultant and facility for admission.
To perform a thorough and safe telephonic clinical assessment of patients care needs and suitability for admission in accordance with the HCA exclusion criteria.
To ensure a high standard of good quality and safe nursing practice.
Work independently/autonomously with support available from Medical Concierge colleagues and leaders
Take on additional responsibility, such as a link nurse role or take a lead with our stakeholders as a point of access.
Support the development and growth of the business through networking, attending events and identifying new business leads.
What you’ll bring:
NMC Registered Nurse
Post Registration experience at Band 5 or above with at least 5 years of experience
Mentoring experience desirable
Excellent communication skills including written and verbal is essential.
Sufficient knowledge and skills of IT essential (Microsoft applications/CRM etc)
Previous experience of nursing assessment essential
Previous experience of case load management and coordination desirable.
