Work from anywhere
Embrace our remote-first culture that prioritises impact over location. Work from wherever you're most productive, while enjoying meaningful connections with the team in London from time to time. We bring everyone together regularly for inspiring sessions and great conversations over amazing food, because the best ideas often start with "what if?".
Requirements
Role Overview
We’re hiring a Creative Lead who’s obsessed with ideas, culture, and the craft of making things. Someone who’s constantly watching, testing, creating, and iterating - turning platform trends into work that performs.
You’ll lead the creative heartbeat of Aperture: building the systems, processes, and ideas that power growth. You’ll run ideation and testing across every client, working hand-in-hand with the Growth Lead, Founder, and broader team to develop creative that cuts through, on Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and whatever comes next.
This isn’t a pure strategy role or a hands-off leadership job. You’ll be in the trenches: editing UGC, cutting videos, writing hooks, testing visuals, and experimenting with AI tools. You’ll play, build, and learn—turning what you discover into repeatable creative frameworks that scale.
You’ll use AI and automation to work smarter and faster, developing pipelines that expand output without compromising taste or impact. You’ll spot trends before they break, know which creators are driving culture, and understand how safe-zones, pacing, and tone shape performance.
This is a chance to build Aperture’s creative discipline from the inside out—to define how creative thinking powers performance and to shape what great looks like for our clients.
For the right person, this role will grow into Creative Director, leading Aperture’s entire creative vision, team, and output as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Aperture’s entire creative pipeline—from concepting to production to performance analysis.
- Lead weekly creative ideation and testing cycles across Meta, TikTok, and other key channels.
- Partner with the Growth Lead and Founder to translate insights, angles, and data into world-class creative ideas.
- Produce and edit your own assets (video, UGC, static, motion) and prototype new ad concepts for testing.
- Build AI-driven creative workflows—automating repurposing, resizing, and concept generation where possible.
- Keep a constant pulse on platform trends, creator communities, and cultural shifts to inspire new ideas.
- Write and approve clear, actionable creative briefs grounded in psychology, insight, and platform behaviour.
- Direct and mentor designers, editors, and UGC creators to deliver high-performing, on-brand assets.
- Review creative performance data (hook rate, CTR, ROAS, completion rate) to guide iteration and prioritisation.
- Contribute to Aperture’s own brand and content—helping us show, not just tell, how great creative performs.
Required Experience & Skills
- 4+ years in a creative, growth, or performance marketing role where content and results intersect.
- Deep understanding of TikTok, Meta, and short-form storytelling—from hooks and pacing to structure and safe-zones.
- Proven ability to both ideate and produce creative—comfortable cutting videos, editing copy, or mocking visuals.
- Experience leading or collaborating with creators, editors, and designers to bring ideas to life.
- Hands-on experience implementing AI tools and workflows in creative pipelines (Runway, Pika, Sora, Midjourney, etc.).
- Strong grasp of creative metrics (hook rate, CTR, CVR, ROAS, VTR) and how to translate them into next actions.
- Passion for trends, culture, and storytelling—always scanning what’s next.
- Highly collaborative and self-directed, able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders with momentum.
- Proficiency with Notion, Asana, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Creative Center, Canva, and Google Workspace.
- Obsessed with the details, whether it’s copy line length, video pacing, or naming conventions in a Notion board
Bonus but not required
- Strong video editing or motion design skills (CapCut, Adobe tools, Descript, etc.)
- Early adoption of new AI creative tools (Veo, Sora, Pika, Runway, Luma, Midjourney, ElevenLabs, etc.) and the ability to build scalable AI pipelines for ideation, storyboarding, and versioning.
- Understanding of audio design, voiceover, and pacing for short-form storytelling (esp. TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts).
- Knowledge of how to adapt a single idea across different channels without losing emotional impact.
- Experience establishing scalable creative processes, from naming conventions and tagging systems to asset libraries and version control.
- Skilled at pitching creative ideas internally and to clients, using narrative and data together to persuade.
- Familiarity with creative testing structures (e.g. ad concept matrices, variant naming, test planning)
