Summary
Andersen invites a Data Engineer (in the EU) for a FinTech project with a UK/Irish SME funding leader. You'll help build a modern data platform with real-time streaming, analytics, ML/AI, and data warehousing, while working on ETL pipelines, APIs, observability, and CI/CD.
The customer is a fintech company founded in 2015, specializing in providing flexible funding solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ireland and the UK. With over €2 billion in funding provided to date, the company supports businesses aiming for sustainable growth by offering fast, flexible, and tailored financial solutions.
The project focuses on leading the design, development, and scaling of a modern data platform within a fintech environment. The platform is intended to support real-time data streaming, advanced analytics, data warehousing, and ML/AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
Designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for data migration and transformation. Integrating with the API platform and ensuring data availability for digital channels. Implementing data observability: logging, monitoring, alerting. Contributing to CI/CD pipelines for data workflows. Supporting analytics and AI/ML initiatives (e.g., Revenue Management System). Collaborating with architects, API teams, and other engineering roles.Requirements
Commercial experience as a Data Engineer for 3+ years. Hands-on experience with AWS: S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, RDS, CloudWatch, etc. Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code. Proficiency with Apache Airflow, Spark, Pandas, SQL. Experience with streaming technologies: Kafka, Kinesis (a plus). Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins. Knowledge of monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack. Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.Reasons to join us
