About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer who combines strong testing fundamentals with modern automation practices and AI-assisted workflows. You will play a key role in ensuring our product is reliable, scalable, and production-ready, while continuously improving how quality is built, measured, and maintained.
This role goes beyond traditional test execution. You’ll help prevent defects early, use AI tools to accelerate and improve testing, and partner closely with Engineering and Product to embed quality across the entire SDLC.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Quality Engineering & Testing
- Design and execute risk-based manual, exploratory, and regression testing for web and mobile applications
- Translate product and business requirements into clear, testable scenarios and acceptance criteria
- Perform E2E, integration, and API testing, with a strong focus on reliability and maintainability
- Validate releases and ensure production-ready quality
Test Automation & AI-Assisted Workflows
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright or similar frameworks (Cypress, Selenium)
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., LLMs) to:
- Generate and refine test cases
- Accelerate exploratory testing
- Improve test coverage and edge-case discovery
- Assist with test maintenance and refactoring
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools or approaches that improve testing efficiency and signal quality issues earlier
CI/CD & Quality at Scale
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable releases
- Analyze test results, identify flaky or low-value tests, and drive improvements
- Provide clear, actionable quality insights to the team (not just pass/fail signals)
Collaboration & Quality Ownership
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the SDLC
- Participate early in feature design and technical discussions to prevent defects before implementation
- Contribute to defining and improving QA processes, standards, and best practices
Act as a quality advocate, helping teams build testable, observable, and resilient systems
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with manual and exploratory testing
- Solid experience with test automation frameworks, preferably:
- Playwright (preferred)
- Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools
- Experience with API testing (REST APIs, Postman or similar tools)
- Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira)
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and clear communication
Comfort using AI tools to enhance productivity and testing effectiveness (hands-on or demonstrated curiosity)
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript/Java for test automation
- Experience testing microservices or distributed systems
- SQL knowledge for test data validation
- Exposure to:
- Contract testing
