We are looking for a Senior Node.js developer with 4+ years of commercial experience to join our project from Ireland. You will work with a modern Node.js stack, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor a Middle Backend Engineer.

Requirements

Must have:

• 4+ years of commercial experience with Node.js (version 18)
• Hands-on experience with Express.js
• Solid knowledge of REST API design principles
• Experience with AWS services, including AWS Lambda
• Proficiency with MongoDB and Mongoose
• Experience working with Firebase
• Familiarity with Sentry or similar monitoring tools
• Understanding of backend architecture and scalable system design
• Experience leading or mentoring other backend developers
• Upper - Intermediate or higher level of English

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI integrations
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS 
• Strong background in complex third-party integrations (social media APIs, payment providers, external platforms)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for web and mobile applications
• Review code and ensure high code quality and best practices
• Design, build, and evolve backend architecture
• Monitor application performance and stability using logging and monitoring tools
• Lead and mentor a Middle Backend Engineer
