Role Overview
As a QA Engineer, you will report to the QA Lead and focus on hands-on execution of both manual and automated testing. This is a mid-level, IC role, ideal for someone who is proactive, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to contribute to building scalable QA practices.
Your work will primarily involve manual testing (smoke, regression, exploratory), while gradually contributing to automation efforts under the guidance of the QA Lead.
Key Responsibilities
QA Execution
- Execute manual test cases across smoke, regression, and exploratory scenarios.
- Support QA Lead in testing new features and validating end-to-end workflows.
- Contribute to automated testing over time (front-end and back-end) as guided.
- Assist with API-level, functional, and UI regression testing.
- Participate in defect triage and help improve QA processes.
Collaboration & Growth
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to integrate QA early in the SDLC.
- Be proactive in identifying issues and contributing solutions.
- Learn from the QA Lead and help document QA processes.
Automation & CI/CD Support
- Assist in gradually building automated test suites using tools such as Cypress or Postman.
- Balance manual and automated testing efforts as directed by the QA Lead.
Requirements
Must-Have
- 2–4 years of QA experience in SaaS or API-driven products.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing (functional, regression, exploratory).
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks or willingness to learn.
- Experience with API testing (Postman, SOAP, REST, etc.) and front-end regression testing.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to performance, load, or security testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of modern front-end automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright).

- Participate in QA processes to ensure release readiness with key defects resolved pre-release.
- Provide actionable feedback to QA Lead and engineering to improve QA efficiency and coverage.
