ELEKS is looking for a Data Scientist in Ukraine

ABOUT PROJECT

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join a project for a large supermarket chain. You will be working on the design and implementation of forecasting models for promotional campaigns, helping the client optimize product availability, pricing, and marketing strategies

REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of Data Science experience with a focus on forecasting/time series modeling Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries: statsmodels, sklearn, tsfresh, transformers, LSTMs Strong knowledge of forecasting, time series analysis, validation, temporal, and sequential modeling Experience building simple ML applications/dashboards (Streamlit or similar) Good communication skills, ability to explain technical concepts clearly Ukrainian fluency (team communication) and English for documentation/client interaction

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, train, and validate forecasting models for promotional campaigns Apply advanced time series analysis and sequential/temporal models Use statistical and ML libraries (statsmodels, sklearn, tsfresh, transformers, LSTMs) to build accurate demand prediction models Develop interactive dashboards with Streamlit for the practical use of forecasts Document and present modeling results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Support knowledge transfer by preparing training materials and mentoring client staff
