We are seeking a pragmatic Platform Engineer to join our client’s engineering team and help design and deliver Kubernetes-native solutions with a strong focus on reliability, simplicity, and developer experience.
The client is a European technology company working on cloud infrastructure products. Their mission is to help enterprises gain more control over their data and infrastructure by providing secure, reliable, and compliance-ready alternatives to traditional hyperscaler environments. The role involves building Kubernetes-native components and platform tools that enable enterprise customers to operate in highly regulated industries while meeting strict standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and DORA.
Requirements:
4+ years of professional software engineering experience 2+ years hands-on with Go (Golang) (concurrency, interfaces, tooling) Hands-on Kubernetes: API machinery, CRDs, informers, RBAC, Services/Networking. Experience building operators/controllers with controller-runtime (or equivalent) Strong knowledge of Linux services and debugging in containerized environments Solid testing discipline (unit, property/fuzz preferred) and debugging Observability mindset: experience with Prometheus, Grafana Strong Git workflow, code review practices, and GitOps habits Upper-Intermediate English and higherNice to have:
Knowledge of Kubernetes networking (CNI, eBPF basics, TCP/IP, NAT, VPN/WireGuard) Familiarity with admission webhooks, mutating/validating pipelines Exposure to Helm, Argo CD, Flux and GitOps workflows Security-minded engineering: container hardening, image signing/SBOM Understanding of compliance expectations (GDPR, ISO 27001, DORA)Responsibilities:
Design and ship Kubernetes-native components: controllers, operators, admission webhooks Build safe reconcilers with health-gated rollouts, idempotent updates, and clear status/metrics Own CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release engineering Collaborate with platform, security, and product teams to turn requirements into clean APIs and production-ready code Ensure solutions are reliable, secure, and maintainable for EU-based enterprise deployments Write high-quality documentation and provide examples for both users and internal teamsWe offer:
