Job Summary

The Technical Writer will create user documentation for various audiences such as end users as well as development and support teams. The scope of documentation will include user guides, how-tos, manuals, release notes and other user materials for software solutions in the Private Equity and Credit market sectors. Also, the Technical Writer will participate in development of corporate writing standards and company style guide as well as coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills.

Responsibilities

Write easy-to-follow reference material in plain English. Prepare and maintain user documentation. Analyze and update existing content. Collaborate with technical staff and SMEs to get necessary information. Research, analyze, understand the project. Conduct user testing of project features. Design documentation templates and standards. Ensure uniformity and consistency of the narration style in the created content according to the corporate templates and standards. Keep task backlog up-to-date.
Requirements

2-3 years English language documentation authoring. Proven experience as atechnical writer working in software development Excellent written and spoken English, as well as proficient communication skills. Expert in creating clear, concise language and sentence structure. Template design experience. Experience in Confluence, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to research and collate background information from a variety of internal and external sources. Attention to detail. Good time-management skills. Ability to work on several projects in parallel.

Preferred:

Experience in Finance is a big advantage. Knowledge of Markdown and HTML will be a plus. Experience with issue tracking systems will be a plus (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Trello, etc.) Experience with image and video editors. Experience of cross-team collaboration. Writing samples
Education/Certifications

High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of related experience are required.
