Project Engineer (Location: Shebin El Kom)
What is this role about?
As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily management of onsite project execution through daily follow-up of contractors' performance and following up on onsite activities and progress.
Ensuring quality and conformity to specifications, coordination of the execution activities with the safety, security and other departments related to the activities, and administration of the site representatives in the site, monitoring & reporting progress accordingly.
What will you do?
Determine and define projects' scope of work and deliverables, and align on it. Oversee, manage, and direct construction projects from beginning to end. Review and monitor the project in-depthLead and ensure the implementation of multiple projects within time, budget, quality, and safety standards. Manage project Design, BOQ (Bill of quantities), tendering, selection, contracting, and claims. Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach a profitable agreementDetermine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations. Coordinate different site layouts and drawings (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Review and approve contractor technical submittals and review the workshop drawings. Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites. Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building construction, safety codes and JTI guidelinesManage and mitigate the risks by creating/reviewing a detailed method of statements and risk assessments for each project, and ensure compliance with JTI standards.What are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringStrong knowledge of Project Management; PMP certification is a plusMinimum of 3 years of experience in construction, civil works, and finishing projectsProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and EnglishStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective planning, scheduling, and inspection capabilitiesStrong data analysis and reporting skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficientlyExcellent communication and influencing abilitiesWhat to expect:
