As food production and supply lines are disrupted by fighting, many families in the east and south of Ukraine do not have reliable access to nutritious food.WFP uses a combination of food and cash assistance to support communities affected by the war. This includes working with local partners to distribute food boxes in areas near the frontline and providing cash transfers in locations where people have access to banks and markets to buy food. Medical insurance with the possibility to enroll eligible dependents Annual leave - 30 days per year 18 weeks of parental leave for birth mothers and 4 weeks of parental leave for non-birth parent 1 day per week remote working option within the duty station (subject to conditions) Accessible premises & reasonable accommodation Learning & development opportunitiesHow can you make a difference?In this position, you will:Manage a wide range of complex HR queries and follow up actions, to ensure consistent and high-quality client-focus HR services are delivered to clients.Allocate responsibilities and support on-the-job learning and development of junior support staff, to ensure they have adequate knowledge of HR systems and procedures required to perform their duties and subsequently can contribute to the provision of effective HR services.Identify evolving needs of the organization and recommend changes in HR processes and procedures, to support improvements in HR services.Review and compile a variety of data on staff recruitment and selection, contractual conditions, entitlements, performance and training requirements, workforce, etc., to support analysis and reporting needs.On board new staff joining WFP, to ensure that relevant processes are followed and the conditions of terms of service are explained and understood.Prepare a range of complex HR documentation required for the specific area of work (e.g. employment contracts, transfer/separation letters, training-related documents, etc.) ensuring accuracy and meeting established deadlines.Use Workday (HCM) HR management systems for reviewing, entering and updating a variety of HR data including monitoring various deadlines ensuring compliance with the established deadlines and accuracy of HR data.Monitor staff deployment and handle related administrative actions s including preparation of reports, to support efficient HR service enabling WFP to respond quickly to issues.To join us in saving lives, changing lives, you will have:Education: Preferably, relevant university education covering organizational psychology and/or Human Resources Management. Minimum secondary school education with post-secondary certification in Human Resources Management. Other educational backgrounds can be considered provided relevant professional experience and/or formal training in HRM.Experience: Six (06) or more years of progressively responsible support work experience in general administrative work, including at least three years in human resources. Post-secondary education can compensate for some years of experience. For example, you will be considered as eligible if you have:Three (03) years of work experience in combination with a Master’s Degree;Four (04) years of work experience in combination with a Bachelor’s Degree.Knowledge & Skills: We are looking for a dynamic, agile and creative HR Associate who is passionate about people. Specifically, we are looking for:Sound theoretical understanding of HR concepts and principles with a broad knowledge of best practices, techniques and processes.Good communication skills with the ability to persuade, influence and adapt communication style to different situations and individuals.
