We’relooking for aProjectStatutory and Technical Accountantto lead a defined piece of work linked to new legislation.You’lljoin ourFinancial Controls and Complianceteam based in London to deliver a specific project that will shape how we apply the latest updates to FRS102.
Your work will focus on the changes relating to leases and revenue, bringing colleagues together from across the organisation and ensuring weremaincompliant,informedand ready for the future.
This team playsa central rolein ensuring the accuracy,integrityand compliance of our statutory reporting across the organisation. They work closely with colleagues across our hospitals and corporate functions, providing guidance, oversight and support that underpins our financial governance.
With oversight of around fifty statutory entities, direct interaction with our external auditors, and regular exposure to senior leadership, the team offers a collaborative and insightful environment where complex technical accounting comes to life. This role sits at the heart of that work, helping us remain compliant, forward thinking and aligned to best practice.
As aProjectStatutory and Technical Accountant,you’llprepare and implement updates to FRS102, focusing on leases and revenue.You’llresearch the changes, gather information from colleagues across the organisation, and produce clear technical papers that explain how the new requirements will apply.You’llthen take ownership of implementing those updates within our statutory accounts, ensuring a smooth transition and strong technical governance.
You’llalso support thecurrentStatutory and Technical Accountant with the external audit process and due diligence reviews for new acquisitions. Alongside this,you’llprovide technical accounting support and best practice guidance to teams across the business. This is a fixed term role with a clear purpose, giving you the chance to contribute to meaningful work that will shape our statutory reporting.

Whatyou’lldo:
Prepare and implement updates to FRS102, focusing on leases and revenue
Produce technical accounting papers and support the group’s understanding of accounting changes
Lead on gathering and reviewing information needed for statutory reporting updates
Support the Statutory and Technical Accountant with external audit and due diligence work
Provide technical accounting guidance and best practice support across the business
Whatyou’llbring:
Chartered Accountant qualification
Experience preparing statutory accounts and working to tight deadlines
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and US GAAP
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage with senior stakeholders
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
