ELEKS is looking for a Project Manager in Ukraine, preferably based in Kyiv.
ABOUT PROJECT
The project involves building a large‑scale administration system within the governmental sector. The delivery team consists of approximately 30 experienced professionals.
REQUIREMENTS
8-10+ years of experience in project management Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities Ability to perform effectively in high‑pressure, mission‑critical situations Ability to travel to Kyiv at least once per month for 1–2‑day business trips Demonstrated political awareness and advanced stakeholder‑management skills, supported by real project cases Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience briefing high‑tier governmental or institutional stakeholders and representing the project team as a sole point of contact Ability to work confidently with a mature, senior delivery team and thrive in a structured, high‑discipline environmentNICE TO HAVE
Experience with, or readiness to learn, operational tools (Workday, JIRA, Client Portal) during the first month Experience managing fixed‑price, Waterfall projects with a strong ownership‑driven delivery mindset (rather than an outstaff approach) Experience with government, public administration, or military projects is a strong advantageRESPONSIBILITIES
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders Develop full-scale project plans and track tasks/milestones using appropriate tools Monitor project budgets (where applicable) to ensure efficient use of resources Identify and handle risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID) to maintain momentum and avoid delays Define project success criteria and communicate them throughout the project life cycle Utilize Jira to track progress, manage issues, and report on project status Ensure teams use Jira as the central tool for managing tasks and workflows Effectively analyze and report on project status to stakeholders Confidently remediate at-risk or underperforming projects in collaboration with project teams Set and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams Motivate and empower team members to take accountability for their assigned tasks Conduct lessons learned sessions and produce recommendations for future projectsWHAT YOU WILL GET WITH ELEKS
