We’re looking for a Senior Node.js Engineer to join our Engineering organization and help evolve the Data Surveillance Platform. This role focuses on building scalable backend services to deliver intelligent automation for clinical trial data processing.

The project is centered on the implementation of clinical solutions for pharmaceutical product development and testing. The process covers all stages up to manufacturing, and the solution is designed in a modular fashion.

You’ll contribute to systems that automate schema mapping, data quality validation, and anomaly detection across 350+ clinical studies — reducing manual effort and accelerating data standardization to CDISC-compliant formats.

This is you

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.

• Strong hands-on expertise with Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript.

• Experience building distributed, microservices-based applications.

• Exposure to AI/ML concepts or experience integrating AI services into production systems.

• Experience working with relational databases (preferably Postgres).

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Solid understanding of APIs, data processing, and system design.

• Strong focus on writing testable, maintainable, and secure code.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience with AI/ML engineers or data teams.

• Knowledge of Spark/Databricks, NLP approaches, or data validation workflows.

• Background in healthcare or regulated environments (CDISC, SDTM, GxP, etc.).

• Experience with React.js or willingness to occasionally support frontend integrations.

• Familiarity with CI/CD and monitoring tools.

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js.

• Build APIs and services that integrate with AI/ML-driven data processing workflows.

• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to productionize models for schema mapping, validation, and anomaly detection.

• Implement and optimize data flows across distributed systems and microservices.

• Improve reliability, automation, and observability across services.

• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.

• Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and engineering best practices.
