DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
and prioritize the pre-requisites and the effective technical support needed from health care facilities, in close collaboration with MoH focal point for generators and heating units dispatch, installation, maintenance2.Provide technical support during the planning, installation and maintenance of generators and heating units in the specific selected locations. Suggestion: Provide technical follow up support to national counterparts related to the WHO conducted technical specifications and trainings, in collaboration with the supervisor, dedicated to safety measures, management and proper maintenance in line with the environmental standards and regulations for the health facility technical and referent staff of generators and heating , develop and apply a full planning and life cycle to monitor generators and heating units donation from request to installation and maintenance 5.Provide technical support for the selection process of local service providers (BOQ, technical specifications etc.) for installation on site and rounds of maintenance of generators and heating units6.Supervise/monitor contracted supplier for the planning, installation, maintenance and ad-hoc support for generators, heating units and mechanical/electrical infrastructure7.Develop standardized electrical/mechanical documentation/design packages as required for outsourcing engineering services, with emphasis on the use of sustainable requirements and technical support for upgrading or repairing existing mechanical/electrical ( generators, photovoltaic panels, and any possible electrical related infrastructures) or for developing new ones at health facilities level9.Together with biomedical team, support the definition of the full life cycle and environmental impact of WHO activities related to all devices donated to health mechanical designs for infrastructure and facilities projects in terms of accuracy, suitability, sustainability to overall requirements, including identifying improvements in the designs and to participate in proposing practical full compliance with all WHO standards, environmental standards and requirements in carrying out the above-mentioned tasks, as well as compliance with overall national policies, procedures and guidelines pertinent to the requested activities, considering quality management and risk management best practices12.Support generator selection, revision of project and supervision of installation for WHO offices and warehouses13.Provide technical support for office and warehouse electrical installations, supervision of installation, maintenance and repair of electro-mechanical materialREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Essential: University degree (Bachelor degree or equivalent) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.Experience
Essential: At least two (2) years working experience in the relevant field of electrical or mechanical engineering is required. Experience in drafting electrical/mechanical systems drawings including draft of technical specification, cost estimates for engineering projects.Skills
