The Role
About Us
Setsail Marketing is a B-Corp certified, full-service marketing agency based in Vancouver. We help brands generate leads and sales with clear strategy, smart automation, and clean creative. Our in-house studio produces high-quality content daily – and we’re looking for a remote video editor who can take that content and turn it into scroll-stopping social media assets.
We need a video editor who is:
- Fast, efficient, and creative
- Social-media native (you understand TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and
- LinkedIn culture)
- Obsessed with hooks, attention spans, and getting viewers to stop scrolling
- Comfortable using AI tools to cut faster, repurpose content, add subtitles, and
- generate ideas
You’ll be taking raw footage (sometimes from clients, sometimes from our studio) and editing it into highly engaging short-form videos. Every piece you produce should be designed to perform: grab attention, keep viewers watching, and drive results for the brand.
What You’ll Do
- Edit short-form videos (15–90s) with speed and polish
- Craft strong hooks in the first 3-5 seconds
- Add captions, B-roll, music, and effects optimized for each platform
- Repurpose long-form video into multiple micro-clips
- Stay current on trends, sounds, and editing styles that win attention
- Collaborate with our team through ClickUp, HighLevel, and shared drives
Ideal Profile
Must-Have Skills
- Strong editing skills (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci)
- Experience with AI-assisted editing tools (Descript, OpusClip, Runway, Captions, etc.)
- Attention to detail (no typos in subtitles, clean transitions, brand-consistent output)
- Understanding of how algorithms reward video structure
- Ability to hit deadlines and work quickly without sacrificing quality
Nice-to-Have
- Graphic/motion design skills (After Effects, Canva, etc.)
- Copywriting instincts for headlines and captions
- Experience editing across different industries and tones
Why Work With Us
- Work remotely, flexibly, and creatively with a growing Vancouver agency
- Join a team focused on ROI, not hype—your work directly drives client sales and
