5+ years of experience in Game Design or Level Design roles, with a strong focus on technical implementation or systems design for AA/AAA PC or console titles.

At least one shipped third-person action or action-adventure title with ownership of gameplay systems or scripted mechanics.

Proven expertise with Unreal Engine 5, including Blueprint scripting, Sequencer, Behavior Trees, and gameplay framework.

Strong understanding of core gameplay systems, such as traversal, combat, puzzles, and player-environment interactions.

Experience designing and implementing tools, scripts, or workflows that streamline team productivity.

Solid grasp of gameplay balance, player feedback loops, and clarity in systemic or scripted scenarios.

Excellent cross-disciplinary communication skills, with the ability to clearly express design and technical goals.

As a part of Room 8
studio, you will

Design, prototype, implement, and refine gameplay mechanics, systems, and scripted sequences in Unreal Engine 5.

Own design tasks from concept through final polish.

Collaborate with Game Designers and Engineers to implement traversal mechanics, puzzles, traps, combat setups, and Boss-fight gameplay moments.

Script and author encounters, environmental interactions, and systemic gameplay features in-engine.

Ensure gameplay systems are intuitive, responsive, and balanced across different player abilities.

Participate in playtests and feedback loops, iterating to raise clarity, performance, and polish.

Produce clear and thorough design documentation.

Mentor junior and mid-level designers in design principles, engine workflows, and scripting
