DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
The incumbent will assume the following responsibilities and achieve the following objectives:
1) Provide technical support to the Incident Management team in data collection and management:
a) Coordinate and oversee the implementation of the social health surveys in the WHO CO to ensure accuracy and completeness of data;
b) Support the development, adaptation of the study protocols and tools for routine and ad hoc assessments;
c) Ensure coherence and compliance with WHO standards, methodologies, and support for data analysis activities such as surveys, secondary data reviews, targeting and needs assessments, data visualization, and other data analysis activities;
d) For all data collection or analysis activities, lead in developing plans and monitor implementation to ensure highest standards;
2) Develop tools to harmonize data collection processes across WHO CO and field offices to facilitate consolidation of information. Respond to specific information requests from the technical teams and partners, ensure dissemination of information and knowledge sharing with all partners.
3) Provide technical expertise related to information collection and data management, seeking to improve information sharing between institutions, to strengthen access to information from other organizations and clusters, and to contribute to intersectoral dashboards and reports.
4) Together with other members of the emergency management team and health cluster partners, coordinate national assessments and ensure interoperability of result and minimize duplication;
5) Coordinate the development of WHO CO data repository to ensure the survey related documents are stored in one place;
6) Support the implementation of the BCI studies in Ukraine and conduct other BCI-related tasks;
7) Perform any other related duties, as required by the functional supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Essential: First University degree (Bachelor`s level) in social science, sociology,political science, system analysis and management or related field.
Desirable: Post graduate degree in public health.
Experience
Essential: At least 2 years of relevant work experiencein study design, public health surveys at national and subnational level.
Desirable: Experience with working for WHO or other international organizations. Experience implementing health needs assessments and other national social health surveys.
Skills
Good understanding of survey design, data analysis and report writing, preferably in public health area; Sound knowledge in behavioral and cultural insights in health; Sound knowledge of national public health system.WHO Competencies
