ABOUT PROJECT

Our client operates a network of premium fitness clubs across the UK and several European countries. As one of Europe’s largest health and fitness operators, the company provides high-end, family-friendly fitness and leisure facilities.

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of hands-on experience in Android development Solid knowledge of Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack components Experience integrating REST APIs and working with relational databases Understanding of software design patterns, Clean Architecture, and MVVM Good communication skills and experience in Agile environments Proven leadership experience English — Upper-Intermediate or higher

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks (e.g., Jetpack, Compose) Ensure the technical quality of the Android solution, including architecture design, code reviews, and implementation of best practices Improve CI/CD processes, automate testing, and optimize the release cycle Collaborate closely with iOS developers, backend engineers, QA, PMs, and BAs to deliver cohesive, cross-platform features Coordinate the work of Android developers (a team of 10-12 people) Analyze business requirements and transform them into well-structured, scalable technical solutions Write clean, efficient, and testable code, following best practices and coding standards Be responsible for the stability of the Android application during releases Continuously monitor and optimize application performance, ensuring responsiveness and a seamless user experience Conduct regular sync meetings, support team development, and mentor junior developers
