General Ledger Accounting Specialist

 

 

Are you an independent and proactive accounting professional? We’re looking for a General Ledger Accounting Specialist to join our Prague-based team!

 

In this role, you’ll work autonomously while staying curious and engaged – asking the right questions, learning procedures, cooperating with various partners, and adapting to the dynamic environment of an international company. If you’re detail-oriented, eager to grow, and thrive in a structured yet evolving setting, we’d love to hear from you!

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

serves as key expert and main contact person in the area of General Ledger, financial closing, VAT reporting, fixed assets,provides support in audits (internal, external), prepares & performs trainings, provide training materials for other departments when necessary to ensure compliance (tax, accounting),acts as senior accountant, able to substitute Financial Accounting Manager in respective tasks.

Requirements:

minimum of 3-4 years of accounting or controlling experience in an international environment,knowledge and experience with accounting (local GAAP & IFRS), Czech tax legislation,good knowledge of MS office (particularly Excel) and understanding of one of core ERP systems (e.g. SAP),fluent in Czech and English,university degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration preferred.
