At Playnetic, we’re looking for a passionate Game Server Engineer - Java to help us create exceptional slot games that entertain and engage players worldwide. As part of our team, you’ll work on innovative gaming solutions that blend creativity, cutting-edge tech, and a bit of that Playnetic magic.  WHAT YOU’LL DO: Develop exciting features for our game servers and tools, delivering high-quality, reliable solutions. Take ownership of the features you create, from concept to implementation. Collaborate with teams to solve unique challenges and enhance the products we offer. Research and implement new ways to improve our games and backend solutions. WHAT YOU BRING: 2+ years of experience in Core Java development . Hands-on expertise with Spring Boot microservices and backend solutions. Solid understanding of SQL databases and REST-like APIs . Previous experience in iGaming/gambling or developing casino gaming solutions. A good grasp of probability theory and mathematical statistics —it’s a plus if you know your way around the odds. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and an Upper Intermediate level of English .  BONUS POINTS FOR: Familiarity with tools like Maven , GitLab , JIRA , and Confluence . Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. Skills in Web Sockets , JWT , and handling CORS . Knowledge of message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ . Cloud deployment, CI/CD, or performance optimization experience. Full stack web development or knowledge of Docker and NoSQL databases like Cassandra.
