This position is contingent upon Customer approval, funding, and/or position availability.
Amentum is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Deputy Chief of Party (DCoP) . This position will be responsible for supporting the Chief of Party (CoP) on Amentum’s A&E program on behalf of USAID. The primary focus will be on the critical infrastructure in Ukraine’s energy sector. Critical energy infrastructure includes, but is not limited to, energy generation plants, electricity and natural gas transmission, distribution networks, substations, energy storage systems, and heating systems and networks.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support the PM with providing program leadership, management, and technical direction.
· Support the PM and USAID with developing program requirements and identifying expert support staff to help USAID achieve its objectives.
· Manage project staff and sub-contractors.
· Ensure design services meet appropriate design standards and norms and ensure that the construction management program aligns with local and international standards of practices.
· Full-time presence in Ukraine
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum educational requirement of a Bachelor of Science degree (Master’s preferred) in engineering, construction management, or a comparable discipline from an accredited university in Ukraine, the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
· At least 10 years of overall engineering program experience
· Fluent in written and spoken English required.
· Fluency in Ukrainian/Russian is desired.
· Experience in Ukraine or Eastern Europe is preferred.
