Major/Essential Functions

Maintain, support & install TTUHSC Network, audio-visual, and conferencing infrastructureFacilitates AV/IT projects on the Abilene CampusMaintain Technical Skills and knowledgeConfigure & maintain all network and AV equipment and related serversDetect & diagnose telecommunication systems and component malfunctions/failures, and work with service providers to ensure timely service restorationsPrototyping, testing, and certifying communication processes and servicesPosition will require a strong ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectivesExercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities Establish and maintain good working relationships with fellow employees, HSC staff and students

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in successfully directing telecommunications and audio-visual projects to completion.Experience in performing equipment installations in a variety of facilities and locations.Experience in Information Technology in higher education or healthcare industries.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus one (1) year related full-time paid experience OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.Applicants for this position will be subject to a criminal background check after a conditional offer of employment has been extended, but before employment can be confirmed.
In accordance with Texas Executive Order GA-48 and applicable state or federal law, this position may involve access to, work on, or conduct research involving critical infrastructure.
