We are looking for a Senior MS SQL Database Administrator to join our global diverse team, who will help our US client with the administration and ongoing support of a database system. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of SQL Server database management, including configuration, optimization, maintenance, and support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL Server environments and a strong focus on performance tuning, backup management, and server health monitoring                                    

Responsibilities: 

• Perform end-to-end database administration tasks for MS SQL Server, including installation, upgrades, configuration, and performance tuning
• Monitor and maintain database health, space utilization, and server load to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform regular index maintenance and rebuilds to enhance query performance.
• Manage and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Configure and optimize database storage structures with advanced security measures.
• Set up and manage database users, roles, and profiles, and integrate with Identity Management systems.
• Engage with external clients and internal service delivery teams to understand and gather new requirements.
• Participate in design and architecture reviews with internal SMEs to ensure database solutions align with best practices.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues reported by internal users, customers, or partners.
• Utilize SQL Loader and other tools as necessary for data import/export and transformation tasks.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server database administration.
• Proficient in installing, configuring, and maintaining MS SQL Server, including TLS/SSL enablement for secure database communication.
• Strong expertise in T-SQL, ETL processes, and query performance tuning.
• In-depth knowledge of backup procedures, recovery systems, and disaster recovery planning.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues to ensure high availability and performance.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong command of English, at intermediate level or higher, both written and verbal.
